Galle -Founded in the 16th century by the Portuguese, Galle reached the height of its development in the 18th century, before the arrival of the British. It is the best example of a fortified city built by Europeans in South and South-East Asia, showing the interaction between European architectural styles and South Asian traditions.
Kalutara temple is one of the country’s holiest places of worship and attracts both the South West Buddhists and tourists to its golden Buddhist. Inside the Dagoba is a magnificent array of paintings describing the stories of Buddha. The 3 stories-high Kalutara Vihara, is a Buddhist temple built in the 1960s that holds the distinction of being the only shrine in the world that is hollow.
Toddy Tapping means collecting juice from the coconut tree’s flower. It is a great experience to see how these people collect this juice (spirit).
Kosgoda is a famous turtle hatchery operated by the Wild Life Protection Society of Sri Lanka. Founded in 1981 to protect Sri Lanka’s turtles from destruction. The hatcheries pay the fishermen for eggs that they collect at the beach. Visitors are shown the massive tanks filled with newborn baby Turtles. Which are 2-4 days old, and are released safely.
Madhu River flows across Balapitiya (approx 80kms down south of Colombo) and is one of the frequently visited perfect attractions for nature lovers in Sri Lanka. Madhu river boasts of having a gather of 64 small islands spotted along her path and the most of which are covered with mangroves.
Ambalangoda city is famous for its masks and puppets. The traditional masks are carved from light Balsa like Kaduru wood (Nux vomica). Kaduru trees grows in the wet lands near the paddy fields. The wood is smoke dried for a week in preparation. The hand carved and hand painted masks for traditional dance, dramas are famous in Ambalangoda.
During the period of the British (1815-1948) in Sri Lanka, a rest house was built for the advantage of British servants. Today the Bentota is a tropical coastal land which provides the full range of water sports on the beach.

Galle Fort, in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, was built first in 1588 by the Portuguese, then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards.
Camping in a beautiful island in the Madhu river-the island is a 20minutes boat ride from the main road near the Madhu river, our team has chosen a beautiful location which is suitable for camping purposes. We think that the best way to experience nature is being with nature! The solution is camping we can offer what you look for, taking our clients to places of Sri Lanka where it’s difficult to get for normal travellers.
To make sure your safety on the island we arrange a team of not less than 3 to be with you all and attend in emergency cases.
We use campfire, oil or copra torches, lanterns and sea lamps.
In the island, toilets are of normal standards but in the base (20 minutes from island). washrooms and toilets available in quality standards.
All furniture and equipment are in good condition, free from rough and sharp edges.
The food at our base locations is prepared on-site allowing us to serve our guests with fresh, clean and tasty meals. There is a restaurant in the base for meals time you can go to the restaurant to enjoy a hot meal also we can send the requested meal to the camping area upon your request.
In the evening A boat ride before entering the island for camping- Madu Ganga Wet Land spreads across 915 hectares, out of which 770 hectares is covered with water. Sail downstream for about a Kilometer, the river opens its doors to 36 spectacular islands covering the rest 145 hectares. The inhabitants of these islands are mostly traditional fishermen and to some extent they are engaged in some traditional cottage industries such as producing peeled cinnamon and cinnamon oil. The estuary of Madu Ganga and the many mangrove islands on it forms a complex coastal wetland ecosystem with high ecological, biological and aesthetic significance. Being home to 303 species of plants belonging to 95 families and to 248 species of vertebrate animals, it might be one of the last remaining tracts of pristine mangrove forests in Sri Lanka.
